17 oz Pear halves
30 oz Apricot halves
1/3 c Sugar, light brown; firmly packed
1 ts Lemon peel; grated
2 tb Lemon juice; freshly squeezd
1 Cinnamon stick; opt.
17 oz Plums, purple; drained
Drain pears, reserving 1/2 cup syrup. Drian apricot syrup into large
saucepan; add reserved pear syrup. Stir in sugar, lemon peel, lemon
juice, and cinnamon stick. Bring mixture to a boil; simmer gently
for 5 minutes. Add pears, apricots, and plums; heat through. Serve
compote warm or chilled.
