Fig Preserves

4 c Sugar
8 c Figs
4 Lemons; sliced


Wash figs and remove stems. Combine ingredients. Cook over low heat
about 45 minutes. Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal. Makes
about 5 pints.


NOTE: Get a book on canning if unsure about sealing and processing.
