Plum Chutney

3 lb Plums
4 lb Apples
3 lb Brown sugar
1 lb Tomatoes
1 lb Onions
1 Imp pt Malt Vinegar
1 lb Raisins
2 Clovws garlic
1 ts Ginger
1 ts Mixed spice
Chillies, (minced, if Liked)


Stone the plums and slice tomatoes, put in a preserving pan with the vinegar and bring to the boil slowly. Mince cored apples, peeled onion and add to the pan Add sugar, garlic and spices and raisins. Stir well to melt sugar and boil slowly for about an hour then test for set. Pot and seal.
