Continental Baked Fresh Fruit
3 lg Ripe nectarines, peaches or plums
2 tb Rum (optional)
1 c Sour cream
1/4 c Brown sugar
2 tb Sliced almonds or hazelnuts
Cut fruit into halves and remove pits. (Peel nectarines or peaches,
if using.) Arrange, cut-side up, in 9 inch lightly buttered pie
plate or 6 individual ovenproof dishes. Sprinkle with rum. Spoon
sour cream over fruit. Sprinkle with sugar and nuts. Bake in 350 degrees F
oven for about 20 minutes or until sugar melts and nuts brown
lightly. Serve hot. Makes 6 servings.
