2 pk 3oz cherry gelatin
2 c Hot water
1 c Cold water
2 ts Lemon juice
2 tb Sherry
1 c Sour cream
2 c BING cherries,pitted,halved
1/4 c Chopped toasted almonds
Dissolve gelatin in hot water; add cold water and lemon juice.
To one cup gelatin mixture add the Sherry; pour Sherry gelatin into a
two quart mold. Chill until set.
Chill remaining gelatin until partially set; whip until fluffy. Fold
in sour cream, cherries and almonds; pour over firm Sherry gelatin
mixture. Chill for several hours or overnight.
Unmold onto chilled platter.
Serve with mixture of one half sour cream and one half mayonnaise if
