24 Hour Fruit Salad
3 egg yolks
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar or lemon juice
2 tbsp. pineapple syrup
1 tbsp. butter
Dash of salt
1 c. heavy cream whipped or Cool Whip equal to 1 c. whipped cream
2 c. pitted white cherries, drained
2 c. pineapple, drained
2 oranges or 2 sm. cans mandarin oranges
24 marshmallows, cut up or 2 to 3 c. miniature
Cook first 6 ingredients over low heat until thick. Cool and fold in remaining ingredients. Chill 24 hours (overnight is acceptable). Before serving, sprinkle generously with nuts and coconut.
