2 lbs. Bartlett or Boso pears (about 5)
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
2 tbsp. lemon juice (fresh)
1/2 c. water
2 tsp. sweet butter (unsalted)
Wash, pare and halve pears, removing cores. Arrange cut side down in shallow baking dish and sprinkle with sugar cinnamon and lemon juice. Pour water around pears and dot with butter. Cover dish with foil and bake at 325 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes depending on type and ripeness of pears, until fork tender.
