4 large pears
1 cup red wine
1 cup sugar
1 dash salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
6 thin slices lemon
Cut pears in half, remove ends and cores. Place in baking dish.
Combine other ingredients. Bring to a boil. Pour over pears. Bake in
350 F oven for 30 minutes, basting once or twice.
