Butterscotch Fruit Squares
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. diced mixed candied fruit
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. raisins
Melt butter in large saucepan and stir in sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat thoroughly after each. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Spread in greased 13x9 inch pan and bake in preheated 350 degree oven about 20 minutes. Cool on cake rack, then cut in squares. Makes about 2 dozen.
