California Fruit Bowl
1 (1 lb.) box (3 c.) dried prunes
1 (3 inch) cinnamon stick, broken up
1 unpared medium orange, cut in 1/4 inch slices
1/3 c. brown sugar
Rinse prunes, then just cover with water. Add cinnamon. Cover; bring to a boil, then simmer for 20 minutes. Add the orange slices and sugar. Cover and cook 5 minutes longer. Cool.
