Date Balls

1 1/2 sticks butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 pkg. chopped dates
2 to 3 cups Rice Krispies


Combine butter, sugar and chopped dates. Cook until dates are dissolved over medium heat. Take off stove and add 2 to 3 cups Rice Krispies. When cool enough to handle, roll into balls. May add coconut or nuts if you wish.
