1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. chopped dates
2 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix first four ingredients and cook slowly until thick (about 10 minutes). Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies, nuts and vanilla. Mix well and let cool. Grease hands well with shortening and roll into balls and then in coconut.
