Date Balls

1 c. butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. salt
2 c. chopped dates
4 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. vanilla


Boil butter, sugar, milk, salt and chopped dates for 3 minutes; stir well. Let cool, then add Rice Krispies, vanilla and chopped nuts. Butter your hands and shape into small balls, roll in coconut. Store in cool place or freeze.
