Date Balls

1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. dates, chopped
1/4 lb. butter
1 egg, beaten
1 c. chopped nuts
2 c. Rice Krispies

Cook first 4 ingredients 3-5 minutes until thick, stirring all the time. Remove from fire and add 1 cup chopped fine or rolled nuts and 2 cups Rice Krispies. Let stand until cool. Shape into small balls and roll in powdered sugar.
