1 small raw papaya peeled and coarsely grated
4 green chiles slit -- up to 5
1/4 teaspoon cumin & mustard seeds
2 pinches asafetida
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon coriander finely chopped
1 teaspoon oil
salt to taste
Heat oil, add seeds, asafetida, allow to splutter. Add green chiles, stir, add papaya. Add all other ingredients, mix well, remove from fire. Cool, serve with papdi.
