Chinese Barbecue Sauce (char Sui)

1/2 c Sherry
6 tb Hoisin Sauce**
4 Cloves Garlic
2 ts Salt
6 tb Soy Sauce
1 1/2 ts Chinese 5-spice**
2 ts Plum Sauce**
1/2 c Sugar
2 ts Black Bean Paste**

Mix together well. Heat in double boiler - add cornstarch for thickening.

** Available in Most Asian Markets
