Cherry Dessert Cake

42 oz Cherry pie filling
3 1/2 c Basic Cake Mix
1 c Butter or margarine
3 oz Slivered almonds

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Pour cherry pie filling into a 13" x 9" pan. Sprinkle BASIC CAKE MIX on top of pie filling. Drizzle melted butter or margarine over top of mix. Top withslivered almonds. Bake about 45 minutes, until lightly browned. Cool in pan. Makes 1 large cake.
